Dear Malik Sb,

Keeping alive the discussion, please also include another movie in this list, “The Pusuit of Happyness”.

Based on a true story about a man named Christopher Gardner. Gardner has invested heavily in a device known as a “Bone Density scanner”. He feels like he has made these devices. However, they do not sell as they are marginally better than the current technology at a much higher price. As Gardner tries to figure out how to sell them, his wife leaves him, he loses his house, his bank account, and credit cards. Forced to live out in the streets with his son, Gardner is now desperate to find a steady job; he takes on a job as a stockbroker, but before he can receive pay, he needs to go through 6 months of training, and to sell his devices.

Thanks Rashid sb for advising about the movie and sharing the story. I hope the end of the movie is positive 🙂
Will definitely get the movie – thanks again.

Good article , i watched “127 hrs” and liked it , although i think it is too much overhyped movie but still v good. The main message of the triumph of human will is awesome!

I have not seen the other two movies you mention , will try to get hold of them.

I would like to very highly recommend the following two movies that i find very inspiring and motivational

1)October Sky

This is a wonderful movie and makes me emotional and motivated everytime. I cannot watch it without being overwhelmed ( and elated) with emotions , first time i watched it i had tears rolling down my face . ( not from sadness , but from being overwhelmed with a mutltitude of emotions ). Very morale lifting indeed.

2) Peaceful Warrior

Again a great movie , the messages in it will sound famliiar to a person like yourself ( eastern sufis teach many of this ) , but coming from hollywood this was a surprise. Very well made , and very good !

Thanks a lot Taha sahib for your comments and recommendations. Will be watching both of these movies as recommended by you. Please keep visiting the blog and share your experiences

I guess in the pursuit of happiness is must to watch. Specially it will teach you what is hardwork, commitment what it meant to search for happiness.

Thanks Salim for your recommendation. I have not watched it yet – will do so after your suggestion

It is an interesting movie which provoke us to think about life with much care and passion. Keep on sharing your thoughts. Thanks again

Thank you sharing some empowering movies. Stories and movies are powerful way of entertainment and “education”.

From your views, this weekend i bought watched “127 Hours”. It’s worth watching. Lesson: If you have enough strong WHY, then “HOW to do” become easy.

“The opus” in the que list to be watched.

It’s always great to watch “The secret” again and again 🙂
