Book of the week: WHO MOVED MY CHEESE? – An Amazing way to deal with change in your life

Posted on: November 22, 2009

Dear all

I hope you have enjoyed reading and viewing the summary of the Book ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’ by Robert Kiyosaki. More thoughts of Robert Kiyosaki would be shared in a couple of weeks and his book ‘The Cash Flow Quadrant’ will be the book of the week once we are done with ‘WHO MOVED MY CHEESE’. (WMMC) during this week.

WMMC is a very interesting book on change management by Dr. Spencer Johnson.

We all have certain desires, wishes, wants e.g. promotion in our job, becoming rich, having children, having nice spouse, so on and so forth.

“Cheese” is a SYMBOL for what we want to have in our life, whether it is promotion, a new job, a relationship, money, a big house, freedom, health, recognition, spiritual peace, or even an activity like jogging or golf.

Each of us has our own ideas of what Cheese is. We all have our own desires, wishes and ideas on what we want to achieve in our lives. We try to achieve our desires because we believe that such achievement will make us happy.

We often become attached to our desires and the process to achieve what we want to achieve in our lives. And if we lose it, or our ‘cheese’ is taken away, we become sad!!. ‘Who moved my cheese’ presents the ideas on how to deal with CHANGE.

Take part in the poll (given below) and express yourself on your thoughts on happiness.

While in coming days, some ideas from the book will be shared, you will be in a position to read the summary on November 26, 2009.

Happy reading. Your comments are welcome….!

regards

Am I happy due to external environment or happiness comes from within?
